This is truly an experience you will never forget - Extraordinary London is pleased to be able to offer one of our most extraordinary adventures yet - a three-hour tour of London in a 17 tonne Abbot tank! 

You will be collected from your London hotel (or any other centrally located collection point) in the fully operational tank which comes complete with 105mm front gun, has a shooting range of over nine miles and a bullet & bomb proof body. Once aboard with our driver and banksman, essential for manoeuvring this beast around London,  you will spend three hours being driven in unrivalled security around the capital.  

This guided tank tour takes aim at landmarks including Buckingham Palace and The Mall, Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster, Tower Bridge and through London’s famous West End.  The cyclists are sure to move aside as the tank thunders through!

This tour is not for the shy and retiring Our tank get’s constantly photographed for the duration of the trip. On previous outings it has ended up featuring in multiple TV broadcasts, newspapers and magazine articles.

FV433 Field Artillery, Self-Propelled "Abbot" is the self-propelled artillery variant of the British Army FV430 series of armoured fighting vehicles.  The Abbot was able to swim across water, having a flotation screen fixed around the hull that was raised to provide buoyancy. The action of the tracks was sufficient to drive it forward at about 3 knots. Each Abbot was supported by a fully amphibious Stalwart Mk 2 High Mobility Load Carrier that carried additional ammunition. The Abbot in the British Army was replaced by the AS-90 self-propelled gun in the mid 1990s. It is still in service with the Indian Army today.
